On May 9th, The Human Resource Management course invited of Assistant Prof. Shu-Chen Chang of Department of International Business, Soochow University to give a special lecture on “Topic Modeling in Management Research”.
Assistant Prof. Chang introduced the concepts, logic, and possible application areas of the topic modeling. As a data mining technique, topic modeling is increasingly used in management research. It allows researchers to analyze large amounts of qualitative data quickly and, therefore, enables them to explore research topics that were hard to address in the past. Many students showed interest in topic modeling and asked many questions to Assistant Prof. Chang.
